Monologues for Clarinet and Piano

For Dr. Sandra M. Mosteller. Monologues is the composer’s tenth and most recent commission. The three movements are titled Desultory, Epigrammatic, and Philippic. The titles refer to the kinds of conversations which might be overheard at a party or social event; the music is intended to capture the spirit of such monologues.
